    We were very happy and pleased with the hotel. All personnel are friendly and helpful. The pictures presented in the slide show are exact. We could not have wanted for more. The food and timing in the resturants was great. We are ready to return and rebook. The activities are well paced and the staff are very good with the public. Great place for children. On the beach front during our stay the ocean was quite strong and unless you are a good swimmer not suitable for regular swimmers. Strong undercurrent and flag system available. Walking on the beachfront was great. Beach soccer and volleyball were fun. Outside activities were a visit to the island Ixtapa a day trip, beach swimming and snorkeling including your lunch with transportation provided. Reasonably priced. You can get on the city buses and go into zihuatenejo the nearby town and shop in the mercado and have some good food also.

    We stayed at The Park Royal in Feb 2009. I have to say that this was probably one of the nicest hotels we've been to. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and we always had great service in every area of the hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the beds were pretty hard, but the view is incredible. The food was good, especially for a buffet. I have no complaints at all, and would highly reccommend it.

    Overall, this hotel is very comfortable. The staff could not be more pleasant. However, very pushy sales people in the lobby for the time-share aspects. One "NO" should be enough.

    Iit is advertised as recently renovated and this is not so. Renovations are under way, but no where near complete. Also advertised with in-room bar fridge, coffee machine and in-room secure safe. Not so. Safety Deposit box was available at the front desk.

    Pool should be divided somehow to have an Adult Only area. Kids allowed to be sitting at the swim up bar all day were loud and annoying. Not a lot of planned activities but okay.

    NOISE from next door Carlos & Charlies nightclub - headbanging latin music until 4:00 a.m. was really not a pleasure. Extremely loud over a block away in a concrete building with windows closed and curtains drawn. And apparently they are building their own disco nightclub on the grounds at poolside that will be open until 3:00 a.m. Yikes!

    We enjoyed our time with our friends, the food was very good, service was fine.
